This live album kind of drags on and is boring in some parts, I still think the album is… fine for what it is. Songs like “China Doll” and that one song where the monkey hijacks the locomotive were pretty good but other songs like “Bird Song” are not interesting enough for their long runtime. Overall, maybe worth a listen if you’re sure that you’re a fan of Grateful Dead and their style.

So incredibly good. This is what people mean when they say that live Dead is miles better than studio dead (with the exception of American Beauty). I grew up with this album, so there is definitely some nostalgic bias, but the songs also sound so undeniably lush, with no single instrument overpowering another. They're gentle in all the right moments and intense in all the right ones.
