The group is rather scattershot here, hitting the target as often as they miss it.

Rolling Stone
The San Diego–area trio slapped together lilting melodies and racing beats in an attempt to connect emo, hardcore's sullen "emotional" branch, and skate punk, a sort of pop hardcore.

Cheshire Cat, debuting album from Pop Punk band blink-182 throws listeners into the world of underproduced and poorly mixed skate punk of the 1990’s.

Taking inspiration from bands such as NOFX and Bad Religion, Cheshire Cat doesn’t break new ground by any means but rather sticks to a formulaic structure throughout a 16-song track list.

Cheshire Cat is Blink-182’s first album, and coincidentally also my first album! I listened to this album around 1 year ago, and it’s still in rotation… well, some songs at least.

Cheshire Cat is a mixed bag for me. While yes, there are pop punk masterpieces such as carousel and wasting time present on this album, there are also so many meh songs that it really isn’t worth more than a 60. Of which is sad; i really want to love this album!!! I adore the production, the ... read more
