While I write this, I am silently screaming/cringing/upset-at the fact that there is only one other review for this incredible album (aside from the fact that it was also her debut and won a Grammy) on this site. And it isn't a good one. Anybody with ears or a general sensibility for good music will understand what Shawn Colvin was going for, and yes, I can definitely hear in certain regards how it has aged in the 32-year interim ... but this is part of its appeal and overall approach.
