The mix on this song overall if kind of a mess; the drums in particular are WAY too loud. However, the core song here leans into Loathe's specialty of creating beautiful shoegaze soundscapes to amplify the emotional impact of their brand of metal. While not nearly as good as some of my favorite tracks on ILII&ITE, "Dimorphous Display" is still a kickass start to the year.
Plus, as usual, this cover art is amazing.
am i the only fucker who hears a heavy darkwave and industrial influence on this track?
that being said, i'm kinda disappointed lmao
