All of them sound great, though, and it's nice to hear them settle comfortably into their roles as older heads.

Consequence of Sound

The seasoned tone and familiar production lend Wu Block ease and listenability, but also result in empty posturing on tracks

The Needle Drop
Members of Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block--mostly Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch--get together for a mostly enjoyable collection of hardcore hip hop songs loaded with gritty tales told with charismatic flows.

This would be a sub-70/100 if Jadakiss + the last third of this album didn't push for it. The majority of this record is pretty samey, you should only skim for your favorite songs and bounce. But those favorite songs are worth it - Been Robbed and Bust Shots back-to-back was a great surprise to end the album with!

Off the bat, Crack Spot Stories is a seriously rad opener that sets expectations high for this easy-to-miss side Wuinverse project, with excellent production and killer bars especially from Ghostface... and then the rest of the record is such run-of-the-mill Hip-Hop. Sad

Most of this album is just decent/good. What you'd expect from a past prime Wu and Lox. The end of the album bumps it up a bit for me. Most of the best tracks are in the last few songs. I think there coulda been more effort put into this project, but its cool regardless.

Nice little album, but nothing amazing. A few songs I'll go back to.

Best Tracks: Crack Spot Stories, Stella, Bust Shots
