Who knows if history will allow “Classic” and its promising mates to truly live up to the track’s name, but in the moment, 55 conjures up a very specific, warm, and essential part of the past made modern. Heck, they could’ve called it 88.

We got the pop, the electronic and the dance beats, but is it enough? The Knock's 55 goes where every critical acclaimed pop record should, it has the guests, the alternative but catchy sound, so where does go wrong? Even if it showcases a beautiful and glittery sound, it comes off as lost. Like it doesn't know to what era belongs, the 80's? maybe 90's? or today? It's still fun but also metrical and overthought, it doesn't feel fully autenthic. I don't know, man, maybe it's not for me.
