All in all, Övergivenheten is yet another solid release from Soilwork. Nothing new or exciting, but it’s catchy enough and sticks to the roof of your mouth.

One of the masters of Melodic Death Metal have come a long way since their At The Gates-influenced debut "Steelbath Suicide".
These guys kinda hopped on a lot of trends, whether it would be the Industrial/Nu Metal leanings on Follow The Hollow and Figure Number Five, or the Metalcore roots of Stabbing The Drama and Sworn To A Great Divide, these guys did them all and quite frankly, pretty well too!

My guys in Soilwork are back with a brand new, kickass, sort of brilliant, nicely-executed, well-composed, definitely one to catch Melodic/Alternative Death Metal slammer. So if you are searching for a completely well-written more than competent metal piece this weekend I’d give their new album a spin.
