Darklands is no Psychocandy in the end -- nothing the band released later ever was -- but it's still a good listen.

The Reids made a quick stylistic shift with the barren Darklands, cleaning up the sonic picture but leaving the elegance and gloom of their songs intact.

I don't feel in my body when listening to this album. Of course I still feel my body while listening, but another version of me, a lighter version of me is only halfway through myself. It feels like i'm still tied to the ground, but gravity is more loose and less strict than I normally believe it to be. I like this feeling. This is really good end of the night type music. Goes crazy with a cold breeze coming through your window as you drive home at 3 am. Only tracks I wasn’t really feeling was Fall and Cherry Came Toe. Other than that this is good asf.
