This album caught me by complete surprise in comparison to other darkthrone albums. For starters, this record is a lot slower and even instrumental wise a lot heavier. HOWEVER, vocal wise this album is way heavier and rawer than darkthrones other work with the vocals being completely thrown out there in such a brutal and unpredictable chaotic way that makes each song so hard and unique from anything the band has ever done. Definitely my favorite dark throne record

The ultimate love or hate record in Darkthrone's discography, "Panzerfaust" was a record that I continuously avoided. Why? Well, if you're into this band, you likely already know the reason: the vocals. "Panzerfaust" is famous, or perhaps infamous, for housing Nocturno Culto's most garish singing, with it being constantly belted and overly loud. Darkthrone continues to be a nonstop machine when it comes to great black metal albums. This album could have been a little more interesting though; probably the least engaging album I’ve heard from them thus far. Beholding the Throne of Might was an exception to that though, because the drumming on that song was to die for. Fucking incredible.
