The passion is pungent on this one. Songs like Elephants, Billie Holiday, and Beetles just provide such a rich foundation for the band to build off. Even in the early days the group offered their most clear visions of psychedelic indie with a garage flare.
I've taken the liberty of raising my original rating by 4 points. Why, you ask. Well, because these women, their band, and their accomplished songwriting remain one of my hidden treasures. It's been a minute since I last played this EP, but I'm about to change that fact. Thanks to @Botched Invocation for piquing my interest. Peace. - @daFigz™ PS: I hear Post-punk. Conocí a Warpaint por el video de "Elephants" en el año 2019, me impresionaron tanto que busqué el disco que contenía dicho track y me encontré con "Exquisite Corpse"... fue amor a primera oída. Cada una de las canciones me impresionaba de una manera diferente y desde entonces ha estado en constante rotación. Hasta el día de hoy "Elephants" sigue siendo mi canción favorita
