A classic act in the genre, this was actually my introduction to the band years ago.
Zeroed begins with an effective riff with subtle melody, nothing to crazy, once the pace is turned up it moves along nicely, strong track. Behind Enemy Lines is a similar story.
This admittedly wasn't the best place to start with the band and I don't recommend others to start with this one either. To The Last... is also solid but you start noticing things run together or sound too similar.

The most safe, inoffensive Bolt's album but ut really works in it's favour as a mindless, brutal entertainment. From the riffs to great production it's just very consistent and fun, even if at times a little bit bloated.
Mercenary is definitely my least favorite Bolt Thrower album. However it's nothing at all bad. I'd argue that Bolt Thrower is one of those bands/artists that don't have a bad album. They're very consistent with their sound but I personally would rather listen to other albums in Bolt Thrower's discography than Mercenary. That being said I still think this album is good just not all that special considering the other material that exists
