While Can emerged in ensuing years with different lineups and further sub-developments, this last vestige of the initial band holds firm in resolve, and is at the least an intriguing aside to their more potent earlier albums.

GET IT? GET IT GUYS? There's a song on here that's an interpolation of the Can-Can song! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Because the name of the band is Can! And they're doing the Can-Can! HAHAHHAHAHA!

On this album, the band continue the sound of "Out of Reach", but more dull and watered down. The energy here is incredibly low for Can standards. Even the more upbeat tracks like "Sunday Jam" and the previously mentioned Cam-Cam track feel so contained. There's no wild ... read more

The weird thing about this outstanding band is that it manages to sound adventurous even if there's no sign of real adventure in its music.

Perhaps the most hollow Can has ever sounded. I don't even know how they were still together at this point. Uninteresting, meandering and lackluster jamming songs with obnoxious synths, vocals that you can barely hear and no song has an end-goal in sight. Everything just feels utterly pointless. You know you're off the deep end when you spend a tenth of the runtime with a song like "E.F.S. Nr. 99 ("Can Can")". I don't really have high expectations for their last LP, but I ... read more
