After the release of 1992's "Good Stuff", The B-52's remained inactive for 6 years and didn't release any new material except two unreleased tracks ("Debbie" and "Hallucinating Pluto") that appear on the "Time Capsule" Compilation Album in 1998. 10 more years pass and they finally decide to release a new album "Funplex", which is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor, with the title track and "Juliet of Spirits" (the singles) ... read more
It's nice that the band did another album with Cindy. But let's be honest: out of all their albums, is anyone revisiting this one?
I was hoping this album would stink balls so I could use all these great new plays-on-words I made up like "More like the B-50-SNOOZE, if you ask me!" and "More like the B-SHITTY-2's, if you ask me!" and "More like the PEE-52's if you ask me!" but in a devastating blow for the entire human race, it's actually pretty good.
And by "pretty good," I of course mean, "I gave it the same grade as both Cosmic Thing, which I said 'could have been recorded by ... read more
