Trane´s last recorded sounds, created with among others Paharoah Sanders at his side.
This record made me understand/feel Free Jazz.
After not really getting into this music I used a timer connected to my turntable to wake me up. Listening to Expression whilst waking up traveling from dreamland to "shit I need to go to school" was a transcendental journey.
Music never felt the same afterwards.
Highly recommended to listen to the whole bunch of impulse recordings on analogue ... read more

this one feels very classical with the piano in the beginning. :o the progression between moods from track to track feels much more like meditations, which is still one of my favs of his.<3 very strangely wonderful as always
