A friend of mine (who happens to be one of the main reasons I got into shoegaze) recommended Blushing to me last year so I listened to a couple of their projects.
Tether, their debut EP, errs mostly on the side of dream pop with some shoegazier moments. This was a solid shoegaze EP. Clocking in at just 18 minutes, it's a quick in and out. It definitely leans into the dreamier and more melodic aspects of shoegaze, with those signature swirling and atmospheric guitars creating a really nice soundscape.
this a nice debut EP. a lot of lush & cocteau twins worship going on but it’s approached in an original way. reminds me a bit of the band wildhoney.
good start. i am excited to dive into their full lengths going into their newest album.
