Subtemple/Beachfires may disappoint those who admire Bevan mainly for his distinctive and influential beats, but no one sounds quite like him, and this distinctive piece of work is no exception.
"Beachfires" conveys sacred spaces—places of worship and natural landscapes—with a clarity that illuminates Burial's inner world. On "Subtemple," he sounds lost in a void.

guys i really like chainsaw man. the characters, the plot, the vibe, the everything. its such a perfect anime/manga. like i have an entire pinterest board that has over 2k images on it and im still adding more. i am quanxi's biggest fan, and i will die protecting her from the haters (as if quanxi haters even exist). i was reading the manga while listening to this actually. so yeah, sorry, but if anyone claims they like chainsaw man more than mem they are wrong and i hate them

Burial moves into ambient territory on this one... and it's frustrating. These tracks go absolutely nowhere and the attempts at atmosphere never reach the emotional heights that made his previous efforts great.
