Northern Transmissions
A quality alternative rock record for those, like me, who have been around the scene for a while.

โ€˜Rationaleโ€™ provides a huge helping of nostalgia, enough to make any elder emo reach for their ear stretchers and worn-out Vans.

Distorted Sound

By making the most of how wide of a genre post-hardcore is, the band have carved out their own little niche, and regardless of if you’re an old fan or a newcomer this album is well worth hearing.

Far Out Magazine

A refreshing body of work that doesn’t mess around, Glitterer cuts through the fluff of the contemporary era on Rationale and gets down to what really matters: the music.

Kerrang!

Rationale certainly feels consistent, and its tracks make sense clustered together on this body of work. But you want more. There are little twinkles of innovative magic in the corners of this album, and they would make it feel more worthwhile if brought to the forefront more often.

From the artwork I half expected this to be a vaporwave album.

I'm a big fan of Title Fight, so when I heard that Ned Russin had another band, I was obviously excited to see what it would be like to hear him outside the confines of Title Fight, but I'm not so happy with this project.

It really sounds like Title Fight without the fight, even when the riffs are good (which isn't very often) there's not much bite to anything and it ends up sounding dull and lifeless. I don't feel any passion ... read more

Ned's signature nasal delivery is still hanging out comfortably on center stage, giving these songs so much great attitude that feels refined by years of doing his own thing and some of the more vulnerable expressions that we began to hear on Title Fight's Hyperview. For newcomers it is a great indie rock / slacker rock record and for old fans it's a delight and a continuation of that brand of sadness we all have come to adore over the years.

Thank you to "Botched Invocation" for the recommendation!
I've been wanting to listen to more styles of music, and thankfully this was a pleasant enough record to introduce me to this type of Emo/indie rock/pop. I'm not crazy on the guy's voice, but it doesn't really do much to hamper my enjoyment. I thought the production was pretty good, even if it wasn't anything all to special, which is how I'd describe most of the album really.
