Somehow Cavetown managed to create the most stylistically interesting music I’ve heard from him in a while, pushing for a hyperpop aesthetic that honestly suits him really well. The first three songs are really appealing to me, with a very sweet sound and memorability that I will keep returning to, however the other two tracks are a bit weaker and don’t offer much else to keep me engaged. Brief Review: Ending is kinda weak, but I’m really liking this new approach Cavetown is going for on this one, with a bit more of a semi-hyperpop sound to the usual indie pop folk formula, nice lil experiment thing going on here. THE COMEBACK I WAS HOPING FOR!!! who knew all it would take for me to get invested in cavetown again was him sounding like underscores. no but seriously compare 'let them know they're on your mind' to kinko's field trip 2006 its insane
