As a preview of potential things to come, Inside a Dream offers just the right amount to satisfy and to build anticipation for a full-length effort that should mark a new and refreshing direction for the group.
Overall, the Inside a Dream EP is the soundtrack to Echosmith’s bold new transitional phase, but there’s now growth with some growing pains.

This EP has 2 of my favorites songs by them. The other songs are good too. I think this one is a step up as a whole from their debut album. The songs doesn't sound like fillers, exudes more personality and are head-to-head on how good they are, even I managing to have 2 stand-outs. And talking about it now, is a good transition between their debut and their 2nd album. Wish that Over My Head was part of this, one of my faves from them too.
