And here we have the new front(?)runner for the worst red album!

Look, i dont know if i mentioned this in any other review but 2017 was such an odd and honestly bland year for alternative/heavy music. You think the metal goes pop shtick is bad now? Oh fucking boy you wouldnt last a day in 2017. Both evanescence and linkin park abandoned rock entirely, any other heavy hitter you could think of is either experimenting with pop sounds or just not showing up and having these weird and dated ... read more

I mean it’s…fine?

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely don’t think it’s bad. But it’s definitely underwhelming. The previous Red albums have all been really good. Then here? It doesn’t live up to the same standard. Gone is a great track, I love the Sia cover, Fracture is pretty cool, but there’s a lot here that just impress me that much. The screams are cool, but they come out of nowhere imo. So yeah, definitely not my favorite Red album.

Red changed their sound a bit by adding electronic patterns to their music, and there's nothing wrong with that. The main problem lies in their realization, which sometimes raises questions. On the other hand, the guys were simply looking for something new and that's fine.

It's hard to say anything about the album. Not bad, but not wow either. Just OK.

FAVORITE: A. I. , Losing Control.
