This EP is actually kinda great. I’ve always considered Thall to be the ugly child of modern metal with some of the most idiotic playing and phrasing ever. However here, the mix of neoclassical influences helps to give a hell of a lot more interest to the songs. Also, the Thall elements are just executed better? Idk, they actually feel like they complement the added instrumentation rather than just being random hits of noise.

Idk what the fuck a Thall is, but holy GOD this was heavy.

Despite being entirely instrumental, “Mare” manages to be an immensely engaging and awesome experience. Love the sorta classical aspects and ideas thrown into this thing, makes for such a fun and hard asf experience unlike much of anything I’ve heard so far.
