theres songs on here that i really like and theres songs on here that i just like. i think the overall sound of this album is so nothing special that i cant give it an eighty.
its definitely overrated but id still get it on vinyl and listen to many of the songs unironically.
an album with such a weird sound yet such utter vibes baffles my mind. it love it so much.
everything i think of a rating for a song, my mind is telling me to make it even higher just because of how funky this music is. i might even come back to this and change some of the ratings.
this album deserves even more love than its receiving. just the other day, i contributed to this by buying the album on a vinyl record from my HMV. im proud of myself!
i can now say, Discipline from King Crimson ... read more
why isnt Welcome to Tally Hall the first track...?
to be honest, this is far from perfect. i think i respect Tally Hall then actually like them. i mean, they are a big inspiration for me and ive been writing songs that resemble Tally Hall songs for a while... buuuut, this album is very inconsistent.
this album can go from an abstract concept with deep meanings and stories for the fans to decipher, to a song that sounds like its in the soundtrack of a musical that has a budget of... whatever ... read more
im most certainly a fan of this album, but it is just such a mixed bag. there are some genuinely really fun tracks on here but also some real middle of the road songs. none of them are bad, they just feel a tad too safe.
overall, this albums just pretty good.
this was my first time hearing Brain Stew and oh my goodness, that song does not match any other tracks vibes at all. its such a stand-out its incredible.
i love this so much. its a shame how little the audience is. i mean i literally had to add this EP onto AOTY myself.
thanks to a certain band (ANGINE DE POINTRINEEEE) ive been listening to more microtonal stuff. this is some of my favourite ive stumbled across.
im not putting this on any of my lists since its only four very short songs.
Let’s Go - 85
Ode to Dogs - 84
It’s a Joke - 80
Shame - 81
i found this old review i made for Slouching Towards Branson whilst looking through my pc files. i thought i might as well post it on here. just note that i have not relistened to it. hence why there are no track rating.
the review style is also very different to my reviews i do now. this is because this was before i wanted to sound smart. due to me being so silly when i made this, ive changed it a tad and fixed some spelling errors. youre welcome.

dont mind me, just doing my media GCSE revision. if you know, you know.
no but really, this is an incredibly good synthpop album and probably one ive the best ive heard.
my only two negative criticisms is that i dont fully get the hype behind Hungry Like the Wolf. although still being an amazing song, i dont think its one of the best.
Save a Prayer and The Chauffeur are two amazing songs respectively, but i wish they were swapped in the track list. The Chauffeur feels like its building up to ... read more
this is my 100th album rating!!!! (not to be confused by my 100th total rating)
i asked my friend what should my 100th rating be and he gave me utter peak.
even without the bias from the game, this is an absolute jazz, and quite frankly perfect, journey. the fact that this is all recorded live i will forever find so impressive.
this is most certainly up there with some of the best video game soundtracks of all time.
who ever is playing that piano for the run n' gun levels is an absolute ... read more
Lizard (the title track) is a musical and emotional journey. as given for almost all Crimsons work, this track is riddled with many emotions. the tracks feels joyous, angry, intense, unsettling, layer back, literally anything. this songs really feels like a movie.
at the cost of it being the length of a movie…
also, i really think that Indoor Games was the bands early attempt at Easy Money. i dont know id there is a connection there.
as per usual, i think this is a very underrated ... read more
i went to go see Michael in cinemas so now i want to hear Michael.
this album groovy as hell. definitely some of the best dance/disco music created.
im pretty sure that EVERY song ended with a fade-out by the way.
first impressions of Led Zeppelin are certainly positive!
this is certainly a very strong debut album with my only problem being the inconsistency. other than that, very good.
apparently this is one of the best songs at the moment. its not.
its not even that bad its just not worth dropping dead for.
despite how much i love this cover, im really not a fan of the album itself. i just dont get it personally. i respect experimental music mostly but sometimes it just doesnt work for me at all. sadly, funny fish album is one of these albums that i just dont click with.
it is sad to say that i got minimum enjoyment from this. its just far from the type of music i enjoy. but, i am a fan of the fact that the production style really matches the graininess on the cover. it does look how it sounds ... read more
this album just makes me feel so chill its insane.
i cant relate to almost anything thats said on this album, yet i just get it. they all just feel like mates telling me about they rich life and they tragic moments. its lovely.
musically its nothing outstanding but i love what this album is doing regardless.
but, i will admit to something. some songs do just sound very similar and because of this, they blend into one another.
sometimes i got a bit lost when the next songs started playing ... read more
we all know that instrumental music can have personality, but Volume II takes that idea to a whole new level. somehow.
variety is what we need most in the world right now, and im glad people are starting to realise it.
