The pinnacle of saying key words for your audience and they clap and you get money. Remember when country music used to be actually about something rather than "I live where people have southern accents"? Not even rural living per se, just somewhere within the southern US.
Yeah this is my new Brat. I still like tracks from Brat, but I would say I vibe with the energy and production of these tracks more overall. Slayyyter's vocals are varied and engaging through the whole album, from sweeter singing to angrier, almost rap adjacent sections. Well, looks like I'm finding myself in the group of listeners that find this better than Master of Puppets. Hope there's crackers and cheese at the initiation. In all seriousness though, I do find this a much better representation of thrash metal as a genre and as an album overall than MOP. My first Metallica review and sadly the last one with Cliff Burton before his tragic death. While there's only 8 tracks on this project, they all have a pretty fleshed out run time to allow for varying passages of shredding guitars, thundering bass, cutting vocals and pounding drums.
