The pinnacle of saying key words for your audience and they clap and you get money. Remember when country music used to be actually about something rather than "I live where people have southern accents"? Not even rural living per se, just somewhere within the southern US.

Yeah this is my new Brat. I still like tracks from Brat, but I would say I vibe with the energy and production of these tracks more overall. Slayyyter's vocals are varied and engaging through the whole album, from sweeter singing to angrier, almost rap adjacent sections. While there's only 8 tracks on this project, they all have a pretty fleshed out run time to allow for varying passages of shredding guitars, thundering bass, cutting vocals and pounding drums. Legitimately no joke one of the best songs of the whole 80s. And yes CM Punk as well.

While coming from two different families of metal, I find a comparison with my recent experience with Painkiller by Judas Priest fitting, and why I find this to just edge it out. Vocally Rob Halford obviously blows Dave Mustaine out of the water, but I think Dave makes his admittedly weak singing voice work for the snark and disdain needed for the tracks here. Perhaps one of the exciting ways to start an album ever. If you weren't sure exactly what to expect on this project (and with an album cover that looks like it should be spray painted on the side of your older brother's band, you should have some idea already), you'll learn very quickly when the drums start pounding in your ears. There's some stand out tracks like "Sushi", "Wild And Alone" and "HARD", but overall it's a step down from even the original Eusexua. It's like a DLC you get for a couple specific missions or features and tolerate everything else that comes with it. I can appreciate some of the elements from tracks like "Cheap Hotel" and "Touch A Girl" but I still prefer the reissue Eusexua the most.

Providence keeps this from being a perfect rating for a few different parts but wow is Starless as amazing as everyone says. Also adding more bass solos and saxophone to your album will always be a good idea.
