Falling In Reverse - Coming Home

I think it's fantastic, definitely underrated

Korn - Untouchables

This is definitely my favorite Korn album. I used to have this playing every single day id get up for work at 4:30AM. My only knock is beat it upright, I'm just not a fan of dirty songs like that. Otherwise everything about it is perfect to me.

Disturbed - Divisive

Not as good as their other albums but it's fine. It sounds over produced and the songs can get kinda repetitive but I still find enjoyment

Disturbed - The Sickness

This album deserves so much better than a 40.

Disturbed - Believe

I can't believe this only has a 59. The people who comment that they really like it give lower than expected ratings. I think this is so good and I've listened to it hundreds of times.

Breaking Benjamin - Phobia

This takes "we are not alone" to another level. Adds a lot of melodic nature and expansion to their sound. "You fight me" is my favorite song on this because of how catchy that cycling initial guitar riff is.

Breaking Benjamin - We Are Not Alone

This was a massive step up both in songwriting and production than Saturate.

Much better overall. And the critic score is full of numbnuts. 85 is a very fair score for this as it sounds good. I think I just noticed much of BB's music is in a depressing key. I wouldve liked a bit more positive sounds but this is just the common key they always use so it's fine. Album is quite enjoyable.

69 is an acceptable overall user score, there are probably a few 0s in there from cynics and maybe some 100s from fanatics. I'm neither cynic nor fanatic, and I did enjoy the music. This is breaking benjamins first album it seems, so they weren't experts at songwriting nor producing. For this to be the product of their first effort I did quite enjoy it.

If I had heard this when it came out, I would have thought it was awesome. It really sums up the early 2000s butt rock vibes. Butt ... read more

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA

Quite good. Her voice sounds similar to Charlie xcx and so do a few of the songs. I probably won't be listening to it again but I recommend others to at least once because it may become a loved album for them.

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU
67

It's okay, 67 for me is good. It's fine. I don't think it should be this high on album of the year but that's just me. Probably just my personal taste

JoJo Siwa - Guilty Pleasure
NR

This person should have never existed in the music industry. She's just another puppet

Falling In Reverse - Popular Monster

This kind of music I don't listen to it as much anymore but I liked this album

Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
78

If this is the kind of music you like it fits the bill. I'm not a fan of the trend of just make stuff as heavy as you can and scream alot. That said I gave a 78 so I still found enjoyment in it it's just that metal in general I haven't been listening to as much and especially not the kind with the hyper mixed super downtuned guitars. But what do you do? Still a good album.

UPDATE: A month after hearing this for the first time, I've listened to this at least 50 times. I have listened to this album so many times it's aggravating me. I cannot believe this is as good as it is. They cooked up some sorcery when they wrote this. I don't even know how to deal with how stuck in my head this whole album has become.

I decided to see what the viewers thought is the album of the year because critics are clueless.

Charli xcx - BRAT

360 is a banger and a total earworm that i can't get out of my head, but the rest of the album gets repetitive and annoying. Got a headache by the end. Its very simple club beats with her singing whatever.

The Cure - Songs of a Lost World

I see what he was going for in creating this. Its a soundscape, and is an album you need to relax and listen to as time passes.
To me its quite repetitive and drawn out, but to another it may be ethereal and contemplative. Which it is ethereal...i mean, its something to listen to while you're not in a state of counting the measures of the music and all that. You just don't think about it and instead just enjoy it for what it is

I do appreciate the philosophical aspects of this, as ... read more

Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties - In Lieu of Flowers

The transition from soft to loud in the first song was cool, and i appreciate the musicality as well as the quality of recording.

Im not a fan of the constant sad lyrics, this is basically emo music and I'm not sure what the deal is with the critics putting this and that other jazz album for best albums of the year. They must be dimwits.

Honestly this album is fine, it sounds fine but I'm not living my life with this sad music as the soundtrack.

Charles Lloyd - The Sky Will Still Be There Tomorrow

Im confused. Does jazz mean "play alot of notes and never return to the key of the song"?
Im trying to listen to it but im honestly not enjoying it.

It sounds like a man who maybe understands some rules of music theory, but decided to ignore them completely and the whole band chose to play their instruments at random.

I can respect doing your own thing and being unique, but if you stray outside the lines of music theory general rules too long you begin to sound like some kids ... read more

Linkin Park - From Zero

I was skeptical but decided to give this album a chance. I don't listen to this genre as much as i used to as a whole, because it seems that in order to play in this musical key with this distortion you have to imagine more problems so you can create more lyrics, leading to always being focused on negative things. Ill digress and actually talk about the album now.

It sounds great all things considered. I did enjoy listening to it. And i think its worth listening to.

"@KaseyFiive excuse me I should've elaborated more. By butt rock, which I did say catchy, and easily writeable, I meant many riffs are easy to write but are not catchy. It's not easy to write something very simple yet still have it catchy like butt rock bands do."

"I agree on your thesis about this style of music. I don't know a huge amount about theory but i can tell when all theyre doing is diddling around and trying to play like they know alot about theory. Maybe they do but the fact is constantly straying from any sort of even remotely predictable path becomes annoying and boring to listen to."
