Edward Skeletrix - Museum Music

Really enjoyable overall, just as bold as the first one but not as confusing.

I see the vision more clearly than on the previous album but the concept is still just a bit too all over the place for me.
fav. song: garçon

Edward Skeletrix - Skeletrix Language
60

Really not bad, kinda feels like it's just weird for the sake of being weird tho.
fav. song: Typical Rap Song 3

Jalen Ngonda - Doctrine of Love
80

Really just his last album but slightly better in every aspect.
fav. song: I Can't Ever Leave You

Jalen Ngonda - Come Around And Love Me

He might just become my gateway artist to Soul. I've always had a difficult time getting into old music from genres I'm unfamiliar with but this album is incredible and doesn't sound too different to its inspiration from half a century ago. Eye opening listening experience for me.
fav. song: If You Don't Want My Love

Vince Staples - Cry Baby
80

Just great on all fronts. Beats, flows, album structure, message, everything. For sure my fav album this year so far and I can't imagine it not being at least top 3 by the end.
fav. song: The Running Man

Imani Imani - Papercut

Already a good start, I can't wait to hear what's next from her.
fav. song: Snatch

Freddie Gibbs - RBT
70

Three decent tracks, very usual for Fred. Did they need a full release of their own tho?
fav. song: Axxtion

Beyoncé - COWBOY CARTER
70

Absolutely all over the place but in a good way.
fav. song: TYRANT

Very nice overall experience but few particularly memorable standouts.
fav. song: AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM

Beyoncé - Lemonade
70

Absolutely her most consistent and focused album to date. Not one bad song on this tracklist, some are just clearly not as amazing as others.
fav. song: Daddy Lessons

Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ
60

The entire spectrum of quality on this album, from phenomenal to mediocre to garbage. It averages out to be just alright in the end. A lot of good songs on the deluxe tho, she could've easily swapped Rocket with Standing on the Sun and spared me the thought of Jay-Z having a boner.
fav. song: Partition

Beyoncé - 4
60

Some pretty fun moments but nothing that makes me want to listen to this album front to back ever again.
fav. song: Run the World (Girls)

Beyoncé - I AM...SASHA FIERCE
60

The music itself is a mixed bag for sure but the album already stands out above the two that came before because it's actually concise and organized.
fav. song: Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)

Beyoncé - B'Day
50

Honestly a bit of a downgrade from her previous album, less hits more filler.
fav. song: Freakum Dress

Beyoncé - Dangerously in Love
60

Some really good tracks in a sea of mid. Definitely expecting every album afterwards to be better.
fav. song: Crazy in Love

YoungBoy Never Broke Again - AI YoungBoy 2
60

It's decently enjoyable but really nothing special. Massively overrated.
fav. song: Rebel's Kick It

Shortstraw. - coinstar
80

Really nice little snack album, all killer no filler. Very british. These Leo beats are absolutely insane.
fav. song: pattern up

Astrid Ztar - Mu
60

Really cool and unique style of music but sadly most songs sound the same.
fav. song: neocene

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
70

A decent album but honestly a pretty poor attempt at being clever and self-aware.
fav. song: No Strippers In Heaven
