Ghais Guevara - The Other 2/5ths or: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Trench Baby
80

No idea why this gets any hate tbh. Both the beats and the raps are just as good as the stuff from his very acclaimed projects and definitely better than his most recent stuff. The entire tape feels very energetic and fun while still being able to have lyrics about important topics, which is the quality that made Ghais such a phenomenon in the first place. This thing has no skips, only great moments and proves that Ghais hasn't fallen off at all and that we should expect to hear lots more ... read more

Mac Miller - Watching Movies with the Sound Off
70

I'm not too crazy about Mac's rapping so far but this production is absolutely incredible.
Fav. song: Aquarium

Ghais Guevara - Goyard Ibn Said
70

A slight overall stepdown in quality from his previous work but his lyricism keeps improving nonetheless.
fav. song: Yamean

Migos - Culture II
50

There are some real bangers at the front of this tracklist that are no worse than anything off the first album but they end up being too watered down within the massive sea of mid. 1h 45min is just too much for one album.
fav. song: BBO (Bad Bitches Only)

Ghais Guevara - Goyard Comin': Exordium
70

Maybe not as amazing as some of his other stuff but still very enjoyable.
fav. song: Demi Sutra

Mac Miller - Blue Slide Park
60

A bit overhated imo. This isn't any worse than KIDS.
fav. song: Frick Park Market

Ghais Guevara - There Will Be No Super-Slave
80

Another incredibly enjoyable tape from Ghais front to back. Really don't see this guy missing anytime soon.
fav. song: This Ski Mask Ain't For COVID

60

Decent raps, decent beats but really nothing crazy.
fav. song: Empire

Offset - KIARI
60

JID and the producers really saving this one from being just as boring as the new Gunna album.
fav. song: Bodies

Joey Bada$$ - Lonely At The Top
60

A good portion of the album is pretty mid but the good parts are definitely worth a listen.
fav. song: SUPAFLEE

Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH
70

A lot more ambitious and sonically diverse than their last album but still not as explosive as their debut.
Fav. song: THE PARTY SONG

Earl Sweatshirt - Live Laugh Love
80

Probably Earl's best first listen to date.
Fav. song: Tourmaline

Lupe Fiasco - Samurai DX
60

Solid little DLC Pack.
fav. song: SOS

Kid Cudi - Free
50

His most radio friendly album yet. The quality itself is not terrible, half of these songs would actually go hard in an H&M, it's just that this type of music is usually just a soulless cashgrab and I doubt that Cudi, after having made some of the most influental Hiphop music ever, is now all of a sudden really passionate about bland pop music. What I'm saying is that this album doesn't sound like he actually cares at all.
fav. song: Past Life

Mac Miller - K.I.D.S. (Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit)
60

It's got some bangers but it lacks in consistency.
fav. song: Knock Knock

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
60

A drop in quality from their debut imo. Just doesn't hit as hard, is less focused and consistent.
fav. song: WHAT U NEED

Freddie Gibbs - You Only Die 1nce
70

Freddie again with a nice listen that's easy on the ears.
fav. song: Brick Fees

Joey Valence & Brae - PUNK TACTICS
80

Front to back incredibly fun album from JVB with energetic deliveries and clever sampling. This is what Quadeca should've been.
fav. song: DANCE NOW

Azealia Banks - Slay-Z
40

This shit is actually terrible. How do you fall off this badly?
fav. song: Big Talk

Chance the Rapper - STAR LINE
70

I can't say I loved any individual track here too much but as a whole this thing is actually pretty solid.
fav. song: Back To The Go
