Didn't expect her commercial debut to be her most experimental project so far but I can't say I'm too mad about it. There's lots of amazing ideas in here, many underrated deep cuts and just overall great songs. The project as a whole tho, doesn't really make much sense as the individual tracks don't always fit together and the two best and most popular songs are just pulled straight from other projects, which you can clearly hear. Overall I would describe the album ... read more
It's a pretty fun album but nothing worth remembering. I would look out for future Bruiser Brigade projects tho.
fav. song: The Ends
Pretty happy to have this as my 500th review, it's a very solid release. Basically just Peggy but relatively underground.
fav. song: One Meal a Day Type Beat
The middle is a little dry but overall it's a very decent tape.
fav. song: Luxury
Jid puts out another incredible rapping performance but the beats feel a little uninspired.
fav. song: Sk8
After hearing him on a Bruiser Wolf song I thought he's another fun goofy rapper like Wolf and Danny Brown but this album turned out to just be a pretty mediocre attempt at capitalizing off of the mainstream sound at the time. Very disappointed.
fav. song: Team Vacation
Another full set of tracks with great beats and great raps from Freddie. The guy has insane consistency.
fav. song: Feel No Pain
For some reason a lot of gimmickey albums don't get very high scores on this site and I don't know why. Honestly, at this point the only thing I want from Bruiser Wolf is for him to lean even more into his weird style.
fav. song: I Was Taught To
I can't say I'm blown away by this but it's definitely unlike anything I've ever heard.
fav. song: Vanished
Three amazing iconic songs + Van Vogue. Pulls the score down quite a bit for me.
fav. song: 1991
Don't really care for the beats on this, his delivery is enough. He says everything so unseriously and it's especially funny when he's actually spitting.
fav. song: Freak Accident
Very cinematic album, some pretty production but only really gets good at the end.
fav. song: I DREAM ABOUT SINKING
One of her best works for sure. Feels very fresh and dynamic but also comfortable at the same time.
No where near as good as the sequel but not terrible either.
fav. song: Savage Mode
A bit better than the average rage album but not by much.
fav. song: Lifestyle
