Actually terrible.
"Will Of The People" has one of the worst chorus's of the year. "Compliance" sounds like something that'd be on a Corey Feldman album.
Don't get me started on "Liberation", the awful copying of Queen with terrible piano playing, and nothing lyrics. When you write political music, if I can't even tell who's side you're on, then you already failed.

If an album like "Ants From Up There" by Black Country, New Road is a tender, amazing beef wellington, then this album is a slice of white bread with bologna on it. There is literally nothing good about this album.
Best songs: NONE.
Worst songs: ALL OF THEM.
An album full of fun production with lyrics that aren’t impressive by any means. It’s not as bad as people say it is, I think there’s definitely a few bangers, but then there’s a bunch of songs that are just plain bad. I like a lot of the ideas, they just fall short unfortunately. The singing isn’t that bad, but it definitely holds back a lot of songs that could’ve been better if it wasn’t Brendon singing it. (ex. Dancing’s Not a Crime, The ... read more
This album doesn’t feel nearly as dated as the previous, it’s still a pop record, but it has better production, better writing, better dynamics, and better singing. It’s not amazing, not really any songs blew my mind at all, it’s all pretty basic. I love the bass in a lot of these songs though, made it feel way bigger then it would’ve otherwise if he just programmed bass in. There’s still a lot of songs on here I absolutely hate, but those are way less common ... read more
This album is so unbelievably dated, cheap sounding, lack of emotion or any fun. The 2012 influences are obvious but every song is about the same thing, or about something that doesn’t matter at all.I despise his voice with the garbage vocoder he uses so many times on this garbage album. Absolutely zero nuance to any of these songs, they all sound like they were made for a soundtrack to a movie that got 40% on Rotten Tomatoes. Terrible.

By far their most boring album at this point in their career. It’s like if AFYCSO was just trying to be as poppy as possible, which honestly makes it slightly better, because it doesn’t feel nearly as terribly crowded and overdone, although that does make it a more boring listen. It’s apparent how much of the first two albums were written by Ryan Ross, because V&V doesn’t have a lot of the imagery that the first two had.

The Beatles worship on this album is very obvious, I like the Beatles so it’s not that big of a deal for me, but it starts to get boring halfway through. They don’t really have a formula this album, but the novelty of the juxtaposition of genre's from the first to second album wears off after about the 8th-9th song, which wouldn’t be that bad if the album wasn't 15 songs long with a bunch of filler at the end.

By the fourth song, you already know the formula. The mixing on this album is horrendous, bass is way too quiet, and they have the classic syndrome of “more words in my lyrics must mean the lyrics are better!”. It just makes it feel crowded and not fun to listen to. There’s a few good songs, but ehh, this album is incredibly overrated.

Is this a pop punk album that will make you change you opinion on the new wave of pop punk? No. It still has a lot of modern pop punk tropes, the singing isn't awe inspiring, but it feels genuine. It feels like Demi actually likes pop punk and did her research on a lot of artists in the genre, and thats more then you can say for most pop punk these days.
every song I ever hear from Billie Eilish is so unbelievably boring and I hate the way she sings.
