Ys, HOOM, and Divers are so great that they make this debut feels somewhat underwhelming by comparison.
There are some cringe lyrics for sure, but that's fine with me. I can tolerate it. This album is about being madly in love and in the butterfly era. And honestly, it's always going to be a little fucking cringe when you imagine craving your partner's love that much... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
how the hell do people listen to Veil of Darkness and rate it below 90? 😭 y'all kidding, right

90–100 = Great album. I'll probably be obsessed with it, or at least revisit it a lot because it's so good.
80–89 = Good album, but I'm not sure I'll revisit it often. It has some flaws, but I can still tolerate them.
70–79 = Well-made album, but not interesting enough to revisit. I still appreciate it though.
60–69 = Poorly crafted and not engaging enough to revisit.
40–59 = Poorly crafted, uninteresting, and loaded with flaws I just can't overlook.
0–39 = Worst music.
80–89 = Good album, but I'm not sure I'll revisit it often. It has some flaws, but I can still tolerate them.
70–79 = Well-made album, but not interesting enough to revisit. I still appreciate it though.
