Views tends to get backlash because of the countless overplayed hits on the album like One Dance and Hotline Bling. If you ask me, this simply proves the album is good due to its commercial appeal. Tracks like 9 and and the title track are almost if not perfect records and the album as a whole is so fun to listen to, despite its length.
I really enjoyed this collab project. As a big fan of both artists, it was a really good experience to see them come together and make this banger of a collab album.
I enjoyed mixtape quite a bit. It’s a step from Take Care and NWTS, but that can be expected for a mixtape. The album had a rough start, but picked up quickly and had some fantastic moments like Star67 and 6PM In New York.
The Come Up was a decent debut mixtape. I can’t say I am not a huge fan of Cole’s music, but I don’t plan on revisiting any tracks off of this project. It is a great starting point, but nothing flashy in the greater scheme of things.
My favorite Drake project. In my opinion, this album ks exactly what Drake should be putting out; genre bending hip-hop/R&B cuts that sooth the ears and make you want to bounce at the same time. For me, nothing was the same after listening to this album.
