Kamasi is my favourite jazz artist currently, he is forever defying expectations, its ambitious, funky and filled with texture. From his incredible sax playing, to each feature making great contributions, this album is like drugs for my ears. The album regards raising a child and I think it's beautiful, it is epic, it feels like music being played from the top of the world.
Favourite track - Asha the First
Only listened through this once, but I can already tell Wolf Alice know what they are doing. Their sound was consistent, but not boring, and their BRITS performance was one of the best of the night.
Favourite track - The Last Man On Earth
This album feels historical, it feels spanning, ever growing, it gets bigger every time I listen. It truly is a piece of art, I love when albums feel like bodies of work, like pieces of art, rather than one song after the next, and The Glow Pt.2 does this beautifully. I would describe it as a sonic whirlwind, a collection of voice, noise, instruments, and the earth itself, squeezed into an incredible album.
Favourite track - Map
This album is so effortless, it strikes a perfect balance, soft, quiet, slow where necessary, but fiery, noisy and grand at others. It's beautiful. Gorgeous vocals, instrumental drops that make me rewind the track over and over, and incredible production. Phil does no wrong .
