i think it's difficult to truly appreciation this album if you dont speak mandarin. while learning mandarin is rapidly growing, most people learn mandarin based on the beijing accent and the southern chinese accent is what makes his music special. i'm not from china but my ancestors are from the guangdong province so the accent is familiar to me. correct me if i'm wrong, at one point, chinese governement tried to standardise mandarin (for national unity), regions with different ... read more

honestly this is the best pop album of 2020 so far. i didn't get the hype of dua's album, i mean i liked it but not that much.

this album worked bc it reminded me of the best part of 00's pop music. there's no fillers here and some of the songs are just straight up bangers!
