their best and most ambitious album yet, although the lyrics and get a bit cringe worthy sometimes but the vocal delivery saved it. Jamie's introverted production has always been something i've admired.
standouts: say something loving, a violent noise, replica
least fav: on hold (sorry not sorry)
i didn't like it as much as i wanted to. the album goes stale after awhile and i couldn't concentrate while listening to it.
gotta be honest, i wasn't very impressed by this album on the first listen. i was expecting something either every folk-y or experimental, this album is somewhere in between. i've come to appreciate it after a few ore listens. her voice is mesmerising and the lyrics are well written.
standouts: memories are now, the lost sky
I love how raw and unpolished Angel Olsen's music is. Lyrics are cleverly written.
Fav tracks: Shut up Kiss Me, Sister
Although it's not as good as their previous album, I do admire the change of sound. I don't get why some people find Justin's voice tiring, I can listen to it all day.
Fav tracks: 33 “GOD”, 29 #Strafford APTS
This is their best album yet! Love the shoegaze influences!
Best tracks: Levitation, Sparks, Beyond love
Overall better than Born To Die. Production and lyrics are so much more interesting.
