Painfully mediocre. Even his flawed albums like The Life of Pablo, Ye, and Donda still had way more ambition and dynamic songs in it's best moments. Most of the stuff here are barely songs, more like sketches. For once, Kanye doesn't even sound confident here. His worst works usually felt like ego without needed limits, but here Kanye almost seems wounded and hesitant to do anything interesting here.
Great album. After BTTIGTP I wondered if they'd continue down this route and I am glad they are.
Double album to follow up a decent debut. Side A is great and a major improvement over A.M. Side B falls off a bit and has some lows but also highs. Ultimately it is a much better record than the debut, but the double side approach holds it back.
Side A - 80/100
Side B - 70/100
