i think this album follows trends and doesn’t really take risks to say anything beyond the production. it’s a collection of well-structured, polished songs, but the overall package feels kinda forced. there are some really strong moments i hope she dives deeper into on future projects
favs: Yes God, Cannibalism
least fav: Old Fling$
I think it's on the same level as all their albums, but something doesn’t sit right with me. They basically risked their entire Wolf Alice sound, discarded it, and there are small glimpses of it, but the change is almost unsettling. Still, overall, the album is very good, it has great songs, and as always, Ellie Rowsell steals the spotlight with her incredible voice
A return to the formula, more cautious than anything, following a risky album that failed to achieve a clear purpose. In this case, the band does what it does best, but with darker nuances. Great album.
