This man seriously didn't release anything for 20 years then dropped 20 albums in one day. That gotta be a world record or something. The music itself is still pretty good though. The songs on this one aren't anything great or special, but there are some cool tracks with chill vibes and decent lyrics. The production is pretty good as well, which was all self-produced.

For President - 7

"Bobby Tarantino III" by Logic is a somewhat decent mixtape and better than I expected. Following some mediocre singles like "Vaccine" and "My Way", Logic dropped the third installment of his Bobby Tarantino series. As someone who likes Logic, I was still not expecting much from this project, as it seems to have been made in a short time mostly for him to get out of his contract with Def Jam.
After hearing those disappointing singles and seeing negative ratings I ... read more
Chattanooga rapper Nigil Lee released the third and final installment to his ”journey” series, an 8 track EP titled ”The Art of Letting Go. The energy on the first songs quickly impressed me and made me immediately want to hear more, and the rest of the project did not disappoint. Nigil shows off his versatility throughout the project with both rapping and singing over fun and uplifting beats.
Nigil is an underground rapper with obvious christrian influences and you could ... read more
Snoop Dogg's 18th studio album "From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suits" is a decent project, that is better than a lot of his recent work. Snoop Dogg is a rapper we all know, but might not keep up with his newer music, even though he releases a new project around every other year. That's because of the inconsistencies in his discography. But this project, as well as his 2017 record "Neva Left" are standouts within his last 6 releases, with Bush from 2016, being the only better album ... read more
Benny The Butcher's sequel to "The Plugs I Met" with producer Harry Fraud is not as great as the first one, but still a very solid project. The Plugs I Met 2 includes features from 2 Chainz, Jim Jones, French Montana, Rick Hyde, Chinx and Fat Joe. These were weaker features than the previous album but still has a decent input from all of them so Benny wasn't outshined and was able to carry the project. Benny matches the energy of Harry Fraud's instrumentals perfectly. The project is ... read more
Hip Hop/Alternative Rock artist Ryan Oakes finally released his debut album, "SLUMBERLAND". Ryan Oakes is an artist I first heard in 2017, with the release of his EP "Evolve". After this I heard singles from him from time to time, but there was nothing that really impressed me as his music at the time was quite mediocre, or decent at best.
It wasn't until 2018 I heard Ryan actually start to "evolve" his sound. With singles that I really liked, like ... read more
Acquired Taste: Vxl. 1 showcases exactly what SCARLXRD is good at. This has to be his best albums, or at least one of his best. I usually don't see SCARLXRD as a very consistent artist, but this album is great from start to finish. The project brings a lot of energy, catchy hooks and dope flows over some hard trap production.
With an album with 18 tracks and no features you'd expect it to get boring halfway through. While not being very versatile in it's theme, SCARLXRD manages to keep it ... read more
Odd Future affiliate Sage Elsesser, also known as Navy Blue, continues to impress me with his second LP of 2020, "Song of Sage: Post Panic!". This is a great project with beautiful soulful and somewhat experimental instrumentals and well thought out poetic and emotional lyrics with great flows. Features include billy woods, Maxo and Zeroh, and even yasiin bey (Mos Def). The songs brings maturity and interesting content throughout the entire album. After an already remarkable debut ... read more
A pretty good album. With that being said, Connecticut native Chris Webby's new album "28 Wednesdays Later" is by far the worst album in the rapper's "Wednesday" series. Chris Webby is a rapper who's been very consistent in recent years, releasing a lot of singles every year with most being quite good, and an album in the end of every year.
His first album in this series from 2017, titled "Wednesday", was great and he has continued to impress me with his two sequel ... read more
Oakland rappers Kamaiyah and Capolow worked well together on their collab album "Oakland Nights". This album does not bring anything unique but is a fun listen with both of the artists bringing a lot of catchy songs together.
Great third album from Las Vegas rapper Ekoh. As a sequel to his previous album "The Detour", this album is both longer and a lot more polished with unique songs and interesting ideas and subjects. The album has 20 songs but still manages to be very consistent with every song being good to great. Ekoh flows well on modern beats while still delivering entertaining lyrics and creative punchlines. The self proclaimed "rap nerd" brings a lot of creative themes while talking ... read more
Good sequel album from UK rapper Verb T and producer Illinformed to their 2015 album "Man With The Foggy Eyes". Chill boom bap rap with good production and hooks gives us some great vibes through the album. The album is quite consistent with most songs being good. Only problem is that not many songs stand out from each other and the project is a bit too long for it's type. Verb T still brings creative lyrics along with featured artists The Four Owls, Eric The Red, Smellington Piff, ... read more
