Electropop is dominating this year!!!
Beyond a few singles here and there and the catchiness of (the controversial) slut pop, I wasn’t paying too much attention to Petras and more so just appreciated her as a cultural icon. Electronic dance ambient is how I would describe this. Go on a walk, take a bike ride and listen to this album. It gets a bit abrasive at times with the sounds but that’s A.G. Cook for ya. As a whole, this score is really cohesive and flows really well. While the middle part of the score gets a bit more existential and low energy, it succeeds in being emotional. Im just living for the grittiness and grunginess of this album. It’s like rough around the edges but still pop. Depending on my mood, it’s pretty much no skips. Vocals are stunning, choruses are awesome, concept is amazing. The influences are strong but still original and interesting.
