Hell fuckin yeah. This is such a bad ass listen. This guy really comes alive on stage. This is a great vibe all around.
I don't listen to a whole ton of Elvis, but this really felt alive on my first listen. It has a real session musician/live in studio vibe. Very easy to picture all the players in the room recording with each other. "Suspicious Minds" will forever be one of those timeless songs.
So I guess this is what a 1998 artpop album sounds like. The production choices are interesting and it's cool to see Madonna pushing some boundaries but the studio trickery on here all sounds a little dated in 2019. I don't think the technology was really there yet to deliver exactly what Madonna wanted. However, it is still really impressive for the time,
