My original review was too short. For my favorite album ever made, this isn't fair. So here, I go.
I've listened to tens of over a hundred albums in my music journey. Over the years, I've found spectacular projects left and right where I understood the greatness is left, seeing why they're so highliy acclaimed. From Illmatic, OK Computer, Madvilliany, Vespertine, Pet Sounds, Abbey Road, Weezer Blue, to many that comes from every individual input no matter the Fantano, Rate ... read more
I DO NOT CARE IF I'M BIASED, THIS ALBUM IS GORGEOUS.
Once again, it's the end of another era of album listening for me. To say the least, I have experienced a lot of hardship, yet sincerity in the music I've listened to in the past 4 months. Whether it be the likes of Elliott Smith, Michael Jackson, MGMT, Nick Drake, Cage the Elephant, Led Zeppelin, and so on. No matter how far I age, no matter how long I last and move throughout this world, nothing will ever make me forget the ... read more

For me, Elliott Smith really became the legend who I remember him for in this project. Like Persona 2 the video game, this is by far the ... read more
If I had a nickel for every time an artist's third album is their most universally loved, but I vastly prefer the album before it because it sounds cooler to my ears, I would have two nickels; which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
A year ago, I listened to Tame Impala's Lonerism. I felt a substantial fear in my heart knowing that I prefer that record over the widely acclaimed Currents knowing how the fans may jump me at any given moment. That same fear is ... read more
In my opinion, the most left and out of pocket debut album of all time.
Not because it's completely different in Elliott's discography, nor is it vastly better or worse than anything an artist of his nature put out. It's still great by all means, but this is Elliott Smith we are talking about. 4 nine out of ten projects with one damn near flawless one, Roman Candle feels more like an introspective review of the legend rather than a staple in his discography.
It's no ... read more
