Somewhere in there is a vintage sound, campy (sometimes horny) lyrics and an overall theatrical approach but it is buried under tons of uninteresting and unoriginal choices.
I think this album lacks personality and no amount of Jack Antonoff can fix that.

Listened to it because my dad told me he liked it very much. The fact that he can't understand the lyrics explains some of it but even without the lyrics this is still over-produced generic trash that sounds like a parody more than it sounds like actual serious music.
I completely lost it at the dramatic interpretation of Last Resort, this could have been a Neil Cicierega song.
