DISCOG WEEKEND - SYSTEM OF A DOWN
I...don't know how to accurately start this review. I'm only three tracks in and I honestly wish that Serj Tankian would calm down or shut up. He sounds like he's trying to mix metal in ska but it's not done in a good way. The instrumentals on this album were definitely the highlight of this album, I wish that there was a instrumental version of this track because Serj's vocals ruin this project most of the time. I'm very worried to review the rest of their ... read more

REQUESTED /// NEW MUSIC FRIDAY

This album was released by a good friend of mine, Rey Morado. Just because he's my friend does not mean I'm not going to be critical about the album. There are great moments in this album, and then there's mediocre moments. Nothing from the album is in any way bad, I'd like to get that out of the way right away. One of the first things I noticed about the album right away is the amount of features, which I don't mind. Features usually add something good to the ... read more

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

We begin the first of many Throwback Thursdays with a Nine Inch Nail release, and a very underlooked one at that. Today I shall look at the counterpart to the ironically named "Broken" which is Fixed. As a child, I always thought it funny that the Broken album sounded more fixed, and vice versa. Of course, I'm sure that was the case, but I always liked this mini-album more than Broken, not just because of the contents inside, but on a more simpler note, the CD ... read more

I feel like I should get my favorite album that I've ever heard out of the way quick so that newcomers reading my reviews have someone of a sense of what my music taste is. Each song of The Bravery's Self-Titled is like it's own little journey. Each track brings something new to the table that makes in extremely indistinguishable between the last and the next. To me, there is not a bad moment on this record. Each second brings something that, no matter what mood I'm in or where I'm at, I'll ... read more

Having only heard JAPAN before listening to this album, I was at least a little hopeful. I liked JAPAN, and thought that the songs that were in the album, at least for the most part, would be a fun experience to just jump and dance around to. Did I expect this album to blow my mind? No, not really. I expected this album to at least not be extremely repetitive and annoying at times, but alas I guess I had to be disappointed. Famous Dex tries, at least a little too hard, to be this super high ... read more

About
A 19 year old producer. I like a lot of everything but I'm probably the biggest fan of rap (and all kinds of it), rock (most kinds, there are a few exceptions where this isn't necessarily the case but it's mostly dependent on the band), and vaporwave/future funk and other sister genres of vaporwave.
I'm going to try to update AOTY daily with a new album or an album I've previously reviewed. If you'd like to request an album for me to review, please feel free to tweet me or DM my twitter below.
