Future Nostalgia is one of those heavily radio played albums that just doesn't get old. Every hit on this album is amazing, fun, and really great feeling. Because of this I really expected the final rating to be a lot higher, but some of these deep cuts are... pretty awful. I think everyone can agree the last two tracks are pretty terrible, and I'm not a huge fan of Cool either. I was still pleasantly surprised with songs like Pretty Please and Hallucinate though, there were still some hidden ... read more
I'll be honest, I listened to the first half of this album a few days ago and it didn't really click. I decided to try again later, and I'm happy I did! Is This It might not be my favorite album in the punk genre, but it's still filled with banger after banger. There really aren't any skips on this album, everything sounds great. I wasn't loving the vocals at first, but I've grown to really like how unique they are. This is a great record to just jam out to, it's super unique, and it's just a ... read more
Kinda forgot this existed, but this is a solid hidden gem in Michael's discography! Only talking about the five new tracks here, they're all pretty solid. The title track has actually grown over the years to being one of my favorites from Michael in the 90s, but it was the only one I had heard in full before going into this. Ghosts is another highlight, but the other three tracks go on with long choruses that last forever. Still solid tracks, I just think they overstay their welcome a little ... read more
I don't really hear anyone talk about this song, but wow. Something about this is just so great, everything works together so well, and it's honestly grown to be one of my favorite songs of the 2020s so far since it was released. It's a great one, I recommend it!
This was pretty good, never been a big Carly fan but I thought this was a solid dance album. There are some great vibes on this album, but I'm not a fan of everything. I feel like every couple tracks there was one that didn't really click for me. Still a good album though, I'm always happy to see danceable albums like this

So happy I decided to listen to this! Ooh Rap I Ya is an incredible album, one that you can zone out to and kinda just chill. The production is great, and I'm a big fan of the Tears for Fears vibe this record gives off. I also think it's the perfect length, it's not too long and the sound doesn't get old. It's a great project and one I'll definitely be going back to.

So much stuff releasing today and I start with the shortest thing π
But I was actually excited to see this drop because I was thinking yesterday that I wanted to try some Aphex Twin out, and I had no idea this was coming out, so it was kinda perfect timing. I really liked this EP, short and sweet, and it's crazy how good IDM can really get. This was groovy and kinda memorizing. I really need to listen to more of this

The Arcadian Wild's debut album is definitely my least favorite of their projects so far. I think everything they've released since has better production, vocal performance, and instrumental performance, although I will say the piano solo on this album, Hers, is one of my favorite instrumental only tracks the band has done. I think the lyrical quality is also a bit lacking here, a lot of it is kinda corny. The pacing is also a little off for me, but still this was a decent album with a few ... read more
This was an interesting album, and imo was a big step up from the Gorillaz album that also released this year. Biggest difference between the two is that this Blur record is far more interesting and has some great stuff going for it. The instrumentals were super good and there were some great vocals moments, but it's main problem is that it gets kinda boring at times. Still solid, I look forward to listening to some of Blur's older music!

As of now I believe this is the most creative and well done full LP from The Arcadian Wild. This thing has so many different things going on. Fun country songs, full instrumental tracks, and absolutely breathtaking lyricism and vocal performance throughout. Usually I don't favor albums that have a lack of consistency, but I feel like folk and bluegrass has a slight excpetion to that rule, everything feels kind of natural. I'm not super big on the instrumental tracks, but everything else was ... read more
Thanks to @Missing_Lyriks for recommending this project to me!
I think Nessa certainly has a lot of potential, but I think she needs to shift into doing something more unique. For me, this project is kinda just that basic sounding "edgy" young teenage girl music, and while there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that, it all sounds pretty much the same. Nessa's vocals are really what carry this EP however, she has a great voice and I think she can definitely release some great ... read more
The Arcadian Wild is a very fun bluegrass act to listen to. They combine amazing instrumentals and angelic vocals and harmonies to make some of the most peaceful music I've listened to. This album is no exception. Welcome has some great tracks that perfectly combine the elements this band does so well, but I think it's main drawback is some of the sleepers on here. Still impressed with this one, looking forward to what's next for the band.

I've finally reached the last album in Creed's discography, Full Circle. I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this since it seems to be fairly unknown, but I had a hunch it would be the worst album of the four. Creed hadn't released anything in 8 years, and the band had been broken up once, so because of that I thought this would be the worst. It was better than I expected, but there is some weird stuff going on with this one.
Before diving into the tracks, I have to say the production ... read more
Really good debut for the Foos! This is a very consistent album, there really aren't any bad tracks here. There isn't really any mindblowing material here, but there doesn't have to be. It's just 45 minutes of banger after banger, and when you listen to the Foo Fighters, that's all you really need anyway. I was surprised at how solid this was for a debut, some good tracks here.

There isn't much better than 35 minutes of calming, beautiful soul music. This is just a great listen all around. Marvin's vocals are amazing as well, there's not much to dislike here. Worth the hype for sure.

Creed definitely has more downs than ups, but if you're going to listen to Creed, listen to this album. I really don't understand the hate it gets. It's definitely a little cheesy at times, but there's so much emotion here too and it works so well. Weathered certainly has some bland moments, but there is so much beauty hidden in this record, especially in the second half. I also think the cover being as.... interesting.... as it is makes things a better experience anyway.

Albums like this are some of my favorite to listen to. Ask Rufus is a nice, smooth soul album that screams 70s, and I'm a fan of most of it. The record starts off swinging with the first track, but becomes kind of subdued as it goes on. I wish this album had the energy it opened up with throughout its entirety, it would've made for a more entertaining experience. Not bad, not great, a fun listen.

Wow. This is an incredible album. I had heard a lot of great things about Arcade Fire going into this, but a shoegazy indie rock album wasn't really what I was expecting, and I'm not complaining either. The main highlight of this album is definitely the instruments. There's so much happening that it even overpowers the vocals at some points, and that's usually not a good thing, but it works here. A great experience, not super replayable, but a fantastic record worth listening to for ... read more
