Unwound - Repetition

the reviews for this are good?!?!? Genre must not be for me BC this felt like torture 😙😅🤮. To be fair there's a song called "fingernails on a Chalkboard" so... Just not great to listen to before a long shift at work.

D'Angelo - Black Messiah

I enjoyed the groove of the whole LP. Some harmonies were a bit grading but resolved eventually. Super interesting stuff going on here. Needed to listen another time to give a review

Searows - Death in the Business of Whaling

Okay get this ur in the freakin whaling business!!!! I love this too much that I can't give an unbiased review. With every listen I am drowned deeper and deeper into the belly of the whale 😆😆😆. Hauntingly beautiful, meaningful in the ways its needed, laying into anger and despair and longing, this LP is bountiful in its harvest. I have a soul connection to Alec, he just doesn't know it yet 😙😔🐋⛵🪝🌊

If you want to have a career change... give it a listen

American Football - American Football

such a chiller. Semi emo semi haunting vocals almost cringe? Needed more oomf. Would love to see the direction taken in a 'Never Meant' style. Regardless this LP was lovely instrumentally. I liked the mid piano break song. yeah overall low-key and nice

femtanyl - MAN BITES DOG

Overwhelming for most of it. Mostly disappointed. I liked HEAD UP 🤓 Excited to see what new stuff she will make, still a fan 🏳️‍⚧️✨🫡

Talking Heads - Remain in Light

not hearing the vision. I was getting looping for most songs and whatever the fuck, one banger. Idk I thought this would hit for me but nope

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King

This album cover was decoration in the semi basement of a friend's house I would frequent in highschool. I remember always being annoyed about how ugly the album cover was. Their step dad had a huge collection of albums but this one was rejected to the basement shelf. This is non verbal step dad music. I enjoyed Epitaph, reliable song. The others were amazing in parts and then pissed me off. I don't think I have the band width or patience for art rock. I'm conflicted with rating ... read more

so creative and playful! She loves a loop gash darn it. This is like Jane removers quirky cousin.

Porter Robinson - Nurture

hope core ✨✳️⭐ I got a little overstimulated listening to this LP so review is a bit skewed. So much of everything in beautiful ways. Perfect to imagine happy animatics too. Not a fan of the voice tone??? idk what to label it 🤓 sorry

venturing - Ghostholding
74

emotional heavy rock with lots of tid bits of intrigue and a underlying wave of grungy noise. A little bit forgettable but I'm glad I came back to finish listening to this LP finally. Favs 'Believe' +'Sick/relapse' + 'Sister'

Annabelle Dinda - Some Things Never Leave
90

such a solid work. Im not much for lyrics but she is a genius with her words, just poetic beyond belief. Such a beautiful voice so much power/depth. Really great LP

Joni Mitchell - Blue
98

Joni the women that you are... this was so nostalgic for me. "I could drink a case of you, darling and I would still be on my feet" so real, expressive and playful. This LP almost made me cry a couple times. free therapy. Her voice is iconic. Points were taken off for some songs being a bit too long 😙🫣🫡

Kim Petras - Detour
64

not obsessed! some of it was rlly lame 🤢😔. BUT I'm liking this electro pop of it all.

my bloody valentine - loveless
71

lot of the songs are filler, more of a vibe LP. Listened twice and I liked it better the second time around. I liked 'I Only Said' + 'When You Sleep'

Big Star - 3rd
61

meh... some songs are like girl what ???? 🤓😆💔

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
61

herm... it was nice but needed more groove. Just at the edge of bop dance status. Listen once. Save, Two songs

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
93

The lore is interesting, adds to the music. Good work team! Don't feel a need to play it again tho. I prefer dark side of the moon to this.

Arcade Fire - Funeral
63

this is twee AF. I don't rock with it but it's probably good for others?

Hum - You'd Prefer an Astronaut

Stars stuck in my head all day! The guitar and drums sounds soooo delicious in this LP. Content is fine not excellent
