Arcade Fire - Funeral
54

I think I am missing something because this album just does not do anything that stands out to me. Most of the record felt drawn out with pretty average vocals. Tunnels is really the only song that does something great but the rest just feels overhyped.

64

Has some good songs in here that I have cried too more then once but overall it felt like bland indie rock for the rest of it. It has some strengths and it's nice to know the followups to this one are much more entertaining.

Motörhead - Ace of Spades
54

The aggression and vocals are fun but overall but the songs blended into themselves too much and some of the topics just weren't it.

Gil Evans - Out of the Cool
64

Entertaining and fun a nice jazz record.

BashfortheWorld - Me, Myself & I
63

Some good bangers in here with 50-0 and darkest but I think vocally there could be some improvements but overall a fun project.

The Vaccines - Combat Sports
65

Probably my favorite vaccines effort which isnt saying much considering I don't love it that much. Some good catchy songs here and there but overall it felt like it didn't quite go all the way in terms of what I would expect from the vaccines.

The White Stripes - Elephant
52

I think the album was inconsistent and didn't know if it wanted to be fast or slow, or lean into the indie or more alt rock side of it. The first two tracks are really good songs but the rest just quite never hit the same or felt important to me enough to really like it.

Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
52

I like the angst of the album and the blend of industrial and electric music but overall none of the songs really hit me beyond oh this was enjoy and I really haven't revisited this effort.

Black Flag - My War
52

This album suffers from everything after the first song was not as enjoyable or memorable as the title track.

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
52

Completely understand why this album is beloved just was not for me. Not a fan of the overall sound of the record. Some songs have grown on me with a few listens but overall it just has not hit me very hard.

Nate Ruess - Grand Romantic
65

I love Nate Ruess projects but this album is very underwhelming at points. It has some high highs and some low lows that make me sad I can't love it as much as I wish I could.

WALK THE MOON - Talking Is Hard
60

An album that suffers from second half syndrome after track 6. Rest of the album could have been as high regarded if it was held to the same quality and shut up and dance.

Neon Trees - Pop Psychology
60

The album has some good songs beyond the lead single with some very catchy pop chorus and riffs. The last four songs of the album do drop in quality from the rest however.

Goo Goo Dolls - Magnetic
51

An album the suffers heavily from second half syndrome. The first and second half have such different quality that dips right after come to me which is probably one of my favorite love songs ever written. Just with the rest of the album could have been as good quality.

The Script - Science & Faith
51

A classic album that has some emotional depth to it for the first half. The album then suffers from second half syndrome and drops in quality.

Palaye Royale - Songs For Sadness
50

A horrible way to start the year and utterly disappointing considering how good the last two records had been. If this is the direction they're going this band is going to disappear into nothing soon.

BoyWithUke - Serotonin Dreams
46

Slightly overhated but this album isn't anything to write home about. It has catchy moments but overall it blends into itself to much to ever be truly enjoyable.

Guitar Fight From Fooly Cooly - Soak
66

A good math rock album that you can tell they just have a lot of fun making. The video game references and voice samples are silly and engaging. The songs themselves are not reinventing the wheel but are still super entertaining and fun

The Band Perry - COORDINATES
50

A decent transition to pop I think there will be even more progress for the band.

Green Day - Revolution Radio
50

I think this album is slightly over hated because there are some nice songs on here that feel like classic Green Day. Overall some of the songs couldv'e been better instrumentally and less corny at times.
