They have a wordiness that springs from hip hop, but soulful vocalist Danny O’Donoghue delivers verbose message-oriented songs with conviction, and they never neglect a singalong chorus.
Like [James] Blunt, the Script trundle steadily down rock’s middle road. Unlike him, they seem to be enjoying the ride.
Of course, there's no denying that the Script know their way around a melody … But swamped by the same safe, repetitive, and unadventurous production, the majority of the ten tracks are indistinguishable from one another, making Science & Faith a solid but pedestrian and uninspiring affair.

More guilty pleasure music added to the ratings. It’s so generic but I love it so much and is very nostalgic.
A perfect example of an album with absolutely nothing interesting about it that still delivers as solid radio filler.
The Script (Album) worked because its detailing the breakup and emotional turmoil of a man. But when The Script (Band) decide to do that again, the results were more diluted down. Songs like “If You Ever Come Back,” “Nothing” and “Long Gone and Moved On” still hit like they should, but then songs like “Exit Wounds” and “Dead Man Walking” just feel a bit fatigued and played out
