Going into this, I wasn't too sure. But oh my, how I was proven wrong. This album is not like anything I've heard before, its really cool.
Fav track: Casket Kids
Least Fav: Are You Waiting?
theres definitely some stand outs in here, overall its a good album, in comparison to their other ones though not as good imo.
no words, this entire album is *incredible.* and that last track? almost shed a tear at that- its insane
No words can be said that haven't already been uttered. Wow. Just wow. The uniqueness of it all, combined with it sounding like its a radio show? Nothing I've ever heard before.
Each of QOTSA's albums have something distinct about them. This one I enjoyed better then their debut, it has a unique sound to it as well!!
Not exactly what i was expecting for their debut, however its pretty solid!! It feels very raw and that last song felt like a lobotomy on steriods. Overall pretty good!!
the guitar work on this is absolutely insane, and the entire time listening to it was an *experience*.
While I do believe that deer in headlights have better releases, this one was alright too. While the vocals could be better, the instrumental is beautiful and tells a story. This album also tells a story, which is why its good.
Listening to this was an experience. You can definitely tell its from the 70's, and yet it has this air about it, almost like you mashed together a bunch of different artists from that time period.
Theres some tracks I liked better than others, however all together this album is insane. Knowing the story behind it makes it even more insane.
Theres so much to say about this album, but I'll keep it short. Every single song is different, and the way its put together and composed is just amazing. It makes you feel things you've never felt before, it's just insane.
First time I fully listened to this album, it was 2am and it was an *experience*. It sounds so, haunting and yet so ethereal. I don't think theres anything I can say that hasn't been said about it before. This album makes you travel through time, space, and universes.
its very chill and unique, something you could study with and its great in that way!!
Bowie never fails to disappoint, even in his last days he releases one of the most insane and powerful albums i’ve ever heard. The themes of death, knowing what happens after this album released makes it all the more real. I’ve never heard anything else that can compare. RIP, legend.
entire time listening to this i felt like i was ascending. possibly one of the best metal albums ive listened to
