The truest example of one good song does not a good album make that ever there was. Riders on the Storm is an all time classic, the rest is worthy of a compost heap. Hyperbole aside, L.A. Woman and L'America are also mildly listenable.
Can really admire the ambition here, and a few tracks really do hit, but the majority of this feels like a band still trying to find their identity
Big dip in the middle where the composition and vocals really strain, but the tail end of this record shows how great this band could be
I'd probably quite enjoy this honestly if it wasn't for the Beavis and Butthead skits throughout.
This is the blandest and weakest smooth and sensual R&B I've heard in an era where the genre is having a triumphant resurgence
Lots of great stuff at the end of this album, but lots of trash at the start
A couple duds and some weak writing hold this back from being a truly monumental debut
Could have done with being cut down by 20 mins or so, but there's some really solid stuff on here
As drone music goes at least it offers something a little interesting and a little more, but at the end of the day it's still drone music.

I think I was initially won over by her voice and the lofi charm of the record, but diving into it again the only standout song is Lucky, and at no other point does the record feel as confident in it's execution
Pretty by the numbers folk pop record but hearing it executed so well in the Portuguese language certainly elevates it
Gambino's sendoff delves into an extraordinary array of musical genres, which may come across as messy to some but in many ways is a fitting tribute to the diverse history of the Childish Gambino project and the man behind it
It's hard to fault it, even if it is as copy-paste as he could possibly achieve
His vocal limits are evident across the record, but compelling song writing and composition makes up for it in heaps
Lulls in the middle, but the open and close to this record are excellent
