Katy Perry - PRISM
81

This is easily Katy's best album, as she finally begins to find herself by blending her ability to create pop bangers while also showing a more mature side to her artistry. 'Dark Horse' and 'Roar' are some of the most recognizable songs of the decade, and I'd even include 'Unconditionally' in there as well. But Katy's biggest fault is not being able to create a true body of work, all of her albums are carried by the few singles that blew up and were ... read more

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
79

Even though the album hasn't aged as well as other albums such as '1989' by Taylor Swift or 'Dangerous Woman' by Ariana Grande, this album is still a staple in pop-culture as we know it. Behind '1989', this is easily the second biggest pop album of the century spawning FIVE #1 singles. And for that I have to give Katy some credit.

Katy Perry - One of the Boys
75

I do think this album is a little overhated by the public and critics alike, but it still isn't a great body of work. In her debut, Katy provides us with timeless classics like 'I Kissed A Girl' and 'Hot and Cold' but failed to deliever much beyond that, except for 'Thinking of You' which is her best song of all time.

Watered down, mediocre, lifeless, and lazy are a few words I'd use to describe this album. Without Doechii's feature, it would be even lower since Doechii is the best part of the album. Though 'Lifetimes' is decent I guess, the rest of the album just feels lazy and uninspired. Katy's inability to make a good album post 'Prism' needs to be studied, I guess working with a rapist and sexual abuser has its karma.

The National - First Two Pages of Frankenstein
82

'The National' gave us their best work yet with this album. I always love their production and how the songs are sung, it is always an enjoyable experience. The features on this album are all incredible, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens were excellent choices for the sound and vibe of the album. But the best feature goes to Taylor Swift on 'The Alcott' easily, her backing vocals and the harmmonizing between Swift and Berninger is heavenly.

Miley Cyrus - SHE IS COMING
73

Though weird in some parts, 'Mother's Daughter' and 'The Most' make up for it and provide great listens, even if the others are just okay.

Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops & Hooligans
82

This is such a staple album of the 2010's. EVERYONE and their mother knew of 'Grenade' and 'Just The Way You Are', and after it got big again through TikTok, I'd include 'Talking To The Moon'. This was such a promising start for Bruno, and though it has most of his career highlights, he still reached new heights post-"Hooligans".

Benson Boone - Fireworks & Rollerblades
60

It definitely has its good moments, but has a few more poor moments. I think it is a decent debut and I think he can definitely do better, and will do so in the future. The production was alright, and he has a voice that not everyone will love, but I think he has talent, he just needs to find his sound.

JoJo Siwa - Guilty Pleasure
3

It speaks for itself.

Ariana Grande - eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead
83

** RATING THIS AS THE ENTIRE ETERNAL SUNSHINE ALBUM **
This is Ariana's best work yet. It perfectly blends all of her abilities to create pop-bangers, catchy hooks, incredible vocals, dynamic production, and portray emotions. I personally love Ariana when she taps more into her softer, more raw/emotional, and airy side like she does on "Hampstead" (her best song) and "we can't be friends (wait for your love)". The deluxe tracks are what really make the album for ... read more

Lorde - Melodrama
100

Following up a debut album like 'Pure Heroine' is no easy task, especially when you think about artist hitting their sophomore slump. But Lorde succeeds in releasing another album just as good with 'Melodrama'. It's sad, melancholic, even a little joyous at times, it has everything. The production is otherworldly and adds so much to what Lorde was trying to create.

Lorde - Pure Heroine
100

One of the best albums of all time. Everyone knows at least two songs of this album, but most know way more than that. Lorde really burst onto the scene with her huge smash-hit 'Royals' and followed up with the hits 'Team' and most impressively, 'Ribs'. The production of the album is sensational, the lyrics and songwriting is superb, and Lorde's vocal delivery come together to create an absolute staple in music. It's a coming of age album that will always ... read more

Nicki Minaj - The Pinkprint
87

In what is Nicki's best album, she showcases that she isn't just the queen of rap, but also a serious artist. It has these tracks that are heavier, more vulnerable, and add layers of seriousness to her music. 'Grand Piano' is a beautiful example of her versatility, a piano ballad was a total surprise, but one that I am beyond thankful for. But the album still has her signature flare and hot beats that she is known for.

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE
88

What an amazing debut album. Frank establishes himself as one of the strongest and most talented singer-songwriters of his generation. The themes and concepts explored through the album provide such a personal, real look into his muses and thought processes behind the record. And it isn't just the music that is exceptional, he seems like such a nice guy, charming, witty, and very likeable.

Frank Ocean - Blonde
100

One of the greatest albums of all time. Like I am always at a loss for words when trying to describe this album and it's impact on not just me, but the music industry overall. The production, emotions, and vibe of the record just takes me somewhere else. Not many artists out there can aspire to what Frank achieved with this album, perfection. I will never think this album is overrated, infact I think it deserves more praise and recognition. 10's all around, seriously.

Adele - 30
84

Adele opens back up to showing us her vulnerable side as she navigates through divorce, maturing, and motherhood. With her signature ballads making a return to the mainstream, this album deserves all of its success and more. 'Easy On Me' was easily one of my favorite songs of 2021 if not this decade, same for 'I Drink Wine'. Though not as compelling as her previous works, '30' is such an enjoyable listen that I always circle back to.

Adele - 21
90

Truly one of the greatest break-up albums to ever exist. The emotions, piano-based production, soul-crushing lyrics, and catchy hooks all merge together to create a cohesive masterpiece.

Adele - 25
90

Adele is a fantastic writer and a legacy artist who has played a huge role in the music industry of the 21st century. This album is vulnerable, raw, emotional, reflective, and yet even a bit romantic? It contains some of her best work with 'When We Were Young', 'Love In The Dark', and 'All I Ask' which are beautiful, heart-wrenching ballads. Though it's Album Of The Year win was controversial, because 'Lemonade' was also a contender, if it ... read more

The Weeknd - Starboy
85

This is, to me, the best album put our by The Weekend. Any album that includes 1 minute and 53 seconds of one of the greatest bits of music ever released, 'Stargirl Interlude', deserves a good rating. But the album overall is great, 'Starboy', 'Party Monster', 'Sidewalks', and 'Die For You' showcase The Weekend's ability to produce amazing music. A timeless album.

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
85

I LOVE THIS ALBUM. They don't try to copy anyone, show out, or try to be different just for the sake of being different, they are their own true selves. They have insane chemistry as a duo, catchy lyrics, cheesy but perfect punchlines, stellar production, and you can tell how much fun they had while making it. Not to mention their flow and rap game ?? Amazing. If you try to take the music too seriously, you won't enjoy the album, SMILE GIRL AND LIVE A LITTLE... IT'S OKAY TO ... read more
