Blossoms - Ribbon Around the Bomb
40

Blossoms have really fallen off. Very repetitive album, tied with poor production has dashed any remaining hopes of Blossoms in the 2020’s

Foals - 2am
92

Foals came out and said they wanted to create a bright and feel good album after the last 2 years of hell and my god are they doing it

Kasabian - ALYGATYR
30

As much as I love Kasabian, this song is hot trash

Blossoms - Foolish Loving Spaces
65

‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ sees blossoms start to carve their own path in the UK indie scene. This album helps them cut above the noise of a lot of up and coming indie acts at the moment but above all the album doesn’t really have much of an edge. Blossoms are still playing it safe but their are brief moments where they show that the could blossom into something great

Blossoms - Ribbon Around The Bomb
72

Blossoms get no better and no worse with the newest single “ribbon around the bomb”. Really leaning into the 70s pop style just like they did in their most recent album, it offers more of the same, inoffensive and safe Blossoms we’ve come to love in recent years

IDLES - Ultra Mono
78

War might just be my favourite song of 2020

IDLES - CRAWLER
75

Oh this is tasty. MTT 420 RR is a hauntingly beautiful opener, car crash is brash and aggressive, the beachland ballroom is a beautiful ballad and crawl! is such an adrenaline fuelled banger

Miles Kane - Change the Show
45

Miles Kane has dipped into and taken elements from the music of the 60’s and 70’s, however all the nostalgic elements just seem like tropes rather than legitimately reworked elements

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
92

This is how to do features right

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
97

From front to back, incredible

Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under
60

On paper it’s a really good record. Great production, and great lyricism along with his amazing and recognisable voice, however the album doesn’t leave me itching to listen to it again. He’s certainly matured in his song writing, however is still playing safe in the heartland rock, killers space of the genre.

DON BROCO - Amazing Things
45

This album is their most forgettable to date. Should’ve expected as much when I saw the equally forgettable album art

The Wombats - Fix Yourself, Not The World
50

I don’t know how much milk is too much milk

The Weeknd - After Hours
80

Some huge singles on this one, however they don’t overpower other gems on this one

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
84

Man does this album absolutely slap! I think it’s best we forget that Lil Wayne verse exists

Biffy Clyro - Infinity Land
83

Crazy and erratic. I love it

90

Being late to the Biffy Clyro scene I never got to hear this album until a decade after the release of Puzzle. God I wish I were around for this.

Favourite Tracks: Living Is A Problem, Who’s Got A Match, A Whole Child Ago, The Conversation Is, Semi-Mental, Get Fucked Stud, Folding Stars, 9/15ths, Machines

Biffy Clyro - A Celebration of Endings
69

Quite a safe album. Really not a fan of the almost too clean production, however musically there are some good tracks on here. North of No South is a big opener and draws my attention in, Weird Leisure with the time signature change on the chorus and the beautifully written poppy Space. Something for everyone on here.

Favourite Tracks: End Of, The Pink Limit, North Of No South, Cop Syrup, Space

Least Favourite: Opaque

Biffy Clyro - The Myth of the Happily Ever After
75

A return to form! Mon the biff
Favourite tracks: Separate Missions, Errors in the History of God, Unknown Male 01, A Hunger in your Haunt, Hara Urara, Slurpy Slurpy Sleep Sleep, Witch’s Cup

Least Favourite: Existed, Holy Water, DumDum

Run The Jewels - RTJ4
90

This was needed now.
